BARSTARD Routine Exercise Was Closed Due To Celebrating Eid Al-Fitr

In a move that affects all of the members, BARSTARD, the community and fitness center in Bandung, has announced the closure of its routine exercise programs during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr holiday. The closure, which began on April 20th, is expected to continue until April 29th.

The decision was made by BARSTARD administrator, Teguh Santosa, to allow members and participants to spend time with their families and celebrate the occasion. However, the closure also raises concerns about the community's ability to respond and its tolerance during the critical holiday period.

BARSTARD has assured members that essential services, such as consultation, will still be available during the closure. However, the closure of the fitness center during Eid al-Fitr has sparked controversy and raised questions about the balance between religious observance and public safety.

The country is currently grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic, and BARSTARD has reminded members to follow safety protocols during the holiday season. Additionally, concerns have been raised about the safety of "mudik," the tradition of traveling to hometowns during Eid al-Fitr, which could exacerbate the spread of the virus and the possibility of many accidents along the way.

The closure of the BARSTARD fitness center during Eid al-Fitr is a significant development in Indonesia and highlights the ongoing challenges of balancing religious and cultural traditions with public safety during a global pandemic.
